World's Largest GLBT Health Conference Set for Vancouver in August

"LGBT Youth and Families:  the Foundation of a Healthy Future" is the topic of the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association's (GLMA) 18th Annual Conference.  Hundreds of LGBT physicians, medical students and other health care professionals are expected to converge August 10-12 in Vancouver, BC to focus on changing family structures.  Programs are designed to examine ways that physicians can cross cultural and generational boundaries to improve the health care of LGBT youth.

The largest event of its kind, the conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, located in the heart of the city's downtown.  Interactive plenary sessions, lectures, panel presentations, and small-group discussions will also investigate other areas of medicine relevant to the LGBT community, including primary care, mental health, lesbian health, HIV/AIDS, geriatric and special interest issues.
