New Canadian GLBT Search Engine Launches

ONLINE:   FRIDAY APRIL 7, 8:31 PM EST (GMT-5).

QueerSeek A new Canadian GLBT search engine was launched this week.

Coming out of Edmonton, QueerSeek.com offers an MP3 music search, virtual postcards, free e-mail, shopping, personal ads, headline news, and one-stop mainstream search engine access.  All in addition to a quickly growing listing of GLBT sites, of course.

The focus at QueerSeek is on Canadian content for GLBT people.

"Priority reviews are being given to Canadian based sites," explained Mike Owen of Rainbow Technologies, which developed and owns QueerSeek.  "All sites submitted are personally reviewed for content and information value before being accepted.  Our mission is to become as entertaining and helpful as the major search engines are to the general population."

Surfers are invited to visit the site, review or sign-up for its free features, and recommend other sites for its database.

"QueerSeek has a bright future ahead of it.  We will continue to add new services and features as we grow," concluded Mr. Owen.
